Innovation drives progress, and even the smallest advancements can significantly improve lives. At the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, our mission is to train the next generation of innovators in Science, Engineering, and Technology.

Established in 2016, the department was founded to address the growing need for skilled professionals in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, specializing in both Power and Instrumentation & Control. Our goal is to equip students with the technical expertise and practical skills necessary to excel in the industry, both locally and internationally. This commitment aligns with Kenya’s Vision 2030 and the global Sustainable Development Goals.

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering aims to:

•  Maintain high standards in training, teaching, research, and innovation.
•  Produce highly skilled engineers who are recognized and respected in their fields of specialization.

The Department has two main sections, namely:
      • Power (Heavy and Light) Section
      • Instrumention & Control Section
      • Electronics Section
The courses offered in the Department are at Level 4, 5 and 6 and are examined by Technical and Vocational Education and Training Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council TVET CDACC. and NITA.
The department has two equipped mordern workshops. Electrical workshops & Electronics laboratory.
