Welcome to the Department of Ibformation & Communication Technology (ICT). The mandate of the department is to provide quality holistic training in ICT & Computer Studies, develop and improve the Institution ICT infrastructure and to provide essential ICT training to students and staff across all departments and sections.
The ICT department also provides ICT technical support and consultancy to Institution staff in order to ensure effective and efficient utilization of the ICT facilities within GTTI.
The Institution is equipped with several ICT facilities. We have a well-equipped state of the art computer lab with internet access provided across the campus with strategically located wireless access points for internet access.
The Department is also tasked with providing, managing and securing the GTTI IT systems. Students can access their results and fees statements online through the student portal and staff can also be able to access various functionalities such as imprest requisition, leave application and entering results through the staff portal. Not forgeting the recent introduced E-Learning

The objectives of the Department are to:
      • To be ICT compliant.
      • To equip staff and students with the necessary ICT skills.
      • To offer learning opportunities in education through Open and Distance Learning.
      • To develop ICT instructional materials.

The Department is headed by the HOD, Madam Phednike, and has a total of 4 trainers.

The courses offered in the Department are at Craft Certificate and Diploma levels and are examined by Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).
